Adding 24v power to C on Nest G4CVZ ?

Where do I connect the second wire from 24V AC supply?

I have only two wires from original Honeywell mercury switch thermostat; Red & White.  Purchased a  $129 Nest G4CVZ about 3-4 months ago.  It was suggested to add a 24v AC power supply for C.  So I have that too installed.

Two separate videos state connecting the Red & one White from 24V into the R port.  Other 24v White connected to C port. Original White connected to W port.

All seemed OK until I noticed Battery Low after what I felt was a short period of time.  Contacted Nest Support and was told "this is a wiring issue, do not put two wires into a Nest port".  Was then provided a support number to call; 833-668-3242 which has been experiencing System wide difficulties, please be patient, so I have not been able to reach them...?

Should the two wires into the R port be OK?  How long should 1.5V AAA Alkaline batteries last?  Google Nest Support person said to use Energizer brand, which I have now installed.

Right now the 24v power is disconnected and Nest is experiencing stability issues with WiFi, etc...  Sending Error code N260.

Advice please?

You will need the Google Nest Power Connector.

Here is the suggested wiring.

Just received a Nest Power Connector.  So it looks like I will not need the 24v AC Power source I purchased separately per two YouTube Video suggestions?
From what I can see, The Power Connector is installed at the furnace between the R & W wires leading to the the Nest Thermostat & the controller boards as I have 8 Thermostats (only one is a Nest).

Purchased Google Nest Power Connector;  Installed per diagram option #6,  relocated my 24V AC Power supply to furnace area  & connected.  All seems OK now at Thermostat, No low battery messages or Error code n260. After all of this I receive an offer from Google to get a Power Connector for free.  Did not follow through on offer but I have to believe the shipping would be considerable.  Anyway,  got a Connector from HD for less than $30 delivered overnight!  Thank you @Patrick_Caezza !

All is good with the Nest it seems since connecting the Power Supply at the furnace per Nest Power Connector instructions!
