Hi Lennan49,

Thank you for posting here in the community. I  understand you want to scan the QR code to set up your Nest Thermostat. I’d be happy to help you. Let’s check it out.

Before we get started with further troubleshooting, let me ask you some important questions:

  1. What Nest Thermostat model do you have?
  2. Does the thermostat display show any error codes or messages when scanning the code?
  3. Has your thermostat been paired before?
    • If yes, were there any recent changes to your network and/or equipment?
  4. Have you followed any troubleshooting already?

You’ll usually need to scan a QR code when setting up a Nest product with the app. If your phone or tablet camera can’t scan the code, try brighter lighting or some of these other tips. You can also skip scanning and type in your product’s entry key or serial number into the Nest app. Please check the following article to Troubleshoot QR code scanning with your phone’s camera. If you no longer have the QR code you can skip QR scanning. Based on the information provided it is unclear if you need to find the QR code or if it is not scanning properly.

You can also check the following article to know How to set up your Nest thermostat.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Mario
