Has anyone found an alternative, superior product to this Nest thermostat useless device?
Between turning off most of the “advanced” features, to dealing with their customer no-service, I’m at the point of junking this thing and avoiding Google products!
Their support fools out of Honduras are useless (putting it nicely), they can’t find their manager for 30 minutes and no one can determine why the thermostat randomly triggers both the furnace and AC to run. Not all the time, but sporadically we’ll find the heat set to 68, but the internal temperature at 65 because the AC is running.
Please share your experience with other thermostats, anxious to move off Google and get away from their incompetence!

Hello PMinGA,
Thanks for reaching out! I can hear the frustration and disappointment in your experience with the Nest Thermostat. It sounds like you've reached a point of significant dissatisfaction, and I can understand your desire to explore alternatives and distance yourself from this particular experience.
Can you share with us your support ID number? I'd be happy to help you explore potential alternatives with the Nest Thermostat.
Regards,
Mark

When the heat is on, we periodically find that the AC unit outside is running. Example: thermostat is set to heat at 68 degrees, but we find the AC unit is running at the same time as the furnace.
If we turn it off, the furnace will turn off but the AC unit continues to run. The only way we can stop it is to reset the entire system. It doesn’t happen every time, it seems sporadic.
Wiring issue or faulty nest. I’ve had the HVAC company out twice and they have confirmed everything is set up correct. They are pointing to the nest being the issue.
