Anybody have a problem with Gen 2 thermostat and Google Home routines?

I can set up a routine in Googl Home just fine, but I have a problem with a routine using my Nest Gen 2 thermostat as a "starter" to trigeer and "action" from a Jasco wifi switch. I set up the routine for the Jasco switch to turn on when my Gen 2 thermostat goes into "heat" mode, and the routine works just fine but only ONCE, the first time it runs.

 

Is any body else here using a Gen 2 Nest and using routines in Google Home? If so, does the routine work consistently?

Nobody has routine problems with Nest Gen 2 thermostat?

My trouble shooting so far has been to make sure thermostat firmware is up to date, and to try different routines in Goggle Home, with different devices, to make sure routine will function. I have used Wyze brand smart wifi switches and my Jasco wifi switches using several different routines, and the routines run flawlessly. It is ONLY when I try to use the nest thermostat as a "starter" to trigger a smart switch to come on when heat is called on the thermostat is when the routine fails to initiate again after the FIRST time it runs. I believe the problem is related to how the thermostat signals its change of state status, vice the Google Home routine sequence, or problems with the different brands of smart wifi switches I have installed.   I even went to far as to install a Nest Gen 3 thermostat (with latest firmware of course) and the problem of the thermostat not triggering a routine (except ONCE) has still been an issue. Is the Nest learning thermostats simply not compatible with Google Home routines like this?
