New nest thermostat user here, I’ve installed the learning 4th gen and the heat works fine but whenever I put it on cool, heat comes out of the vents. Any help would be awesome!

Hello @Woody15

Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community, Welcome. I'm happy to help you with the cooling option on your Nest Thermostat 4th Gen.

Let's work together to fix it. To better assist you, I would like to know:

  • What is the make and model of your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment?
  • How many wires are there?
  • When did cooling last work?
  • Do you see a power error code on your thermostat?
  • Have you set up a temperature schedule for your thermostat?

Don't worry with these details we can continue finding a solution for this situation.

Feel free to keep us posting.

Best regards,

Douglas.
