Bliking green and no display

2nd generation nest learning thermostat is blinking green and no screen . Took it off and left charging with usb for two hours . It is still dead . Base has power and common

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. Let's see what's going on and why your thermostat won't turn on.

Please try connecting your thermostat display to your computer using the USB cord. Wait for a couple of minutes, check if it will turn on, and see if your computer recognizes it. If it does, let it charge for an hour.
