Boiler is ON but the settings are set OFF

The central heating is set to OFF and the hot water is set on a schedule of ON between 5-7pm but it is ON at 7:30. The thermostat is the learning model but I was told this only applies to the heating control.
Is it expected that the boiler can be switched ON when the time is outside the schedule, ie does the thermostat learn when there isn’t enough hot water and turn the boiler ON even outside the scheduled settings?

Hi Renix,

Thanks for posting in the community! I'm sorry to hear that your hot water schedule is activating outside its set time frame. And you’re right, it’s not supposed to get on after the time frame.  Don't worry, I can help!

Let's try deleting your current schedule and creating a new one. This might resolve the issue.

Using the Nest app:

  1. Open the Nest app.
  2. Select the Hot water icon (droplet) and then Schedule.
  3. Choose a day to edit. Add a new scheduled heating time or modify/delete an existing one.

Using your thermostat:

  1. Press your thermostat's ring and select Settings, then Hot water schedule.
  2. Choose to Enable, Disable, or Edit your domestic hot water schedule.
  3. Use the thermostat ring to navigate days of the week. Add a new schedule by pressing the ring on an empty time slot. Edit or delete by pressing the ring on an existing schedule.

After completing these steps, restart your Nest Thermostat.

Let me know if this helps.

Regards,
Axel
