Can not hold temp on Thermostat

I have a learning nest in one home and non learning in an additional home.  When I go to the nest app I can change and hold the temperature within the nest app for the learning app but the temp does not show for the basic thermometer.  I can change the temp on the basic thermometer from the Google home app but it will not allow me to hold the temp for longer than 24 hours.  I want to set this temp to 76 and hold,  it defaults to 77.  Any help that can be provided is appreciated.

To ensure proper functioning of your Nest Learning Thermostat and non-learning thermostat, ensure they are connected to the internet and synced with the Nest app and Google Home app. Check the Wi-Fi connection and ensure the thermostats are online and communicating with the apps. Ensure that the Nest app's settings are reflected in the Google Home app, and try logging out and back into each app to refresh settings. Adjust the basic thermostat's temperature in the Nest app to reflect the desired 76 degrees, and ensure the changes are saved and applied correctly within the app. Check for available firmware updates to resolve compatibility issues and ensure smooth operation between the apps.
