Hoping someone knows the answer to this. Just purchased three new nest thermostats on January 2nd. Installed all three using the Google home (not nest) app, everything worked great. I can access the thermostats through the home app just fine, the problem is I cannot get the nest app to recognize them. The instructions say to find an entry key by going into settings on the thermostat and going to the nest app screen. That is not one of the available options in the settings menu. I'm using version 1.1-11.
I have the same version and Nest app is not compatible with this version and good luck keeping it connected to the Google home app. My thermostat will not stay connected to app even though batteries are fine and it’s connected to Wi-Fi on the thermostat settings
@navigator5754 that's hard to believe that Google would sell a nest thermostat in Amazon that isn't compatible with the nest app, but you may be right. When I try to "add product" in the nest app and choose "thermostat" as the type of device, this thermostat isn't one of the choices when it asks you which one to install. Unreal.
Is there anyway to turn the NEST Thermostat from a mirror screen to a white screen like the one pictured on the box and in the setup guide? Google Smart Thermostat - SNOW
