Can’t reset my nest password. Never get the email with instructions

Can’t get the reset email instructions from nest.  Everything working fine until today when I log in to nest it ask for a login for some stupid reason

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you’re unable to sing in your account and need to reset it. I’m happy to help! Please let me know if you’ve tried the next correct step to reset your account.

1. Open the Nest app or visit home.nest.com.
2. Tap Sign in with Nest >  Forgot password.
3. Enter your email address >  Reset password.
4. You’ll receive an email to reset your password. 

If you've enabled 2-Step Verification, you’ll need to verify your account to reset your password. 

If you don't get the password reset email:

• Double check that you entered the email address used to sign up for your account. 
• Double check that you use a Nest account, not a Google Account. 
• Check your spam email folder. 
• Try requesting the reset password email again.
