Configuration of Nest remotely

I have had a Nest 3rd generation Thermostat installed at my property, which I own, but currently not able to visit it soon, as living abroad.  The property is located in the UK 

It seems that there is no way to set up the device with my google home account, unless I travel to the UK to do this in person on the network.  

Can I invite my caretaker to my google home account, and can she add the device for me?

Just to check, when you log into the Nest app, do you use the log in with Nest option or the log in with Google option?
