Can I put a plastic thermostat cover over the nest?

If you are referring to the ones that are clear and have slots on all sides then yes with reservations.

Covering up any thermostat can cause it to think the area it is in is warmer than it actually is.

Hello there,

Thanks for the help, @Patrick_Caezza.

@Mrkburton, In addition, if it were also for the sake of avoiding dust or dirt, thin clear plastic would do as long as you didn't cover its sensor. Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Regards,

Mark
