Date and time always resetting with nest e thermostat and will not turn heat on

Jams

I have a nest e thermostat. Lately, I have had to re-enter the current date and time every day for about a week. Also, I've noticed the heat does not kick on even though the room temp is 62 and the target temp is 70. Luckily, the room with the thermostat warms up throughout the day on its own. Are these issues related somehow and how do I fix them

Hi Jams,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay and for the trouble this may have caused you. Making sure your Nest Thermostat location is correct might help. Please go to your Nest Thermostat Settings then look for Location. This may be the reason why your thermostat date and time keeps changing causing the unexpected behavior of your thermostat.

Regards,
Jenelyn
