My thermostat would not operate my unit on cooling. Took a different one and that one worked. I have had the bad one sitting around for a while and I’d like to see if I can send it for repair. How do I go about doing that? The reason I ask is because one of the biggest complaints I’ve been reading is that there is not straight forward way of getting a warranty repair or replacement. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t seem to find anything that says “Please call HERE” and then send your unit “HERE”. “If it’s out of warranty please pay THIS MUCH”
I know that every unit is different to fix. But it is so hard to find warranty info that it almost looks like it was done on purpose.
Is there a simple way to get this repaired or exchanged. Seems it was easier back in the NEST days…

Yes, the links you sent were pretty much useless as they led to Pixel Phone warranty, and it sounds like you already knew that. Please know that if the other unit breaks I can’t keep supporting the brand. Your thermostats are not cheap and it’s unfortunate that they are a throw away item. I wouldn’t have purchased the second one if I knew that.
Anyway, not your fault. I don’t have any other questions or concerns.
Have a great day and thank you for reaching out.

Threw out the unit out of warranty. Won’t be needing help anytime soon because if the other one breaks I’ll probably have to throw it out as well.
Offering to help knowing that there is no help was very kind,
Thank you and if there’s anything else I can do to assist don’t hesitate to ask.

Hey Dannyd,
Sorry to hear about your other Nest thermostat but thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community.
I'm afraid we don't have repair centers but I'll be glad to check on your warranty options. What specific type of Nest thermostat is this? Also, when and where was it bought as well as what country are you in?
Best,
Melba

Thank you for your response!
it’s a nest 3rd gen white thermostat purchased about 3 years ago from a dealer in Miami, FL. I’m in the United States.

Hey there,
I appreciate these added details. I'm afraid that we replace faulty devices that are within the warranty time frame. Please refer to this link for more information: https://bit.ly/3OByfKt
