Dual Fuel / Heat Pump without a Nest Pro

I'm looking for some advice on how to setup my Nest Learning thermostat without a Nest Pro - there isn't one available anywhere close.

However, I can't get past that step in the Nest app...  help?

I also tried the Google Home app, but it kicks me out of setup when I scan the QR code.

Can I just connect the control wires to the baseplate properly and plug the thermostat in?  How would I connect it when I do that?

I solved my own problem. It was going direct to Nest Pro because I selected double-labeling early in the setup instead of single labeling.  All better
