Dual Zone nest thermostat

Pryanni

My home has a dual-zone HVAC system that originally had two Honeywell thermostats for one compressor. One for upstairs and one for downstairs.

I have replaced both with Nest 3rd generation thermostats and they both work just fine individually. But when I set them both to cool at the same time, they seem to cancel each other out, and just runs uncooled air in both zones. If I turn one off and leave the other on that zone works well and provides cold air.

Any suggestions to fix this so they both can run at the same time?

Thanks!

@Pryanni

Can you post pictures of the original two thermostats' wiring and the zone controller wiring here?

I’m not sure where or how I can see the zone controller wiring, but I’ve attached a picture of the original thermostat wiring. Thank you.

@Pryanni

Thanks,

Can you post a picture of the zone controller?

It should be near the furnace/air handler.
