Duke Energy Thermostat program

Installed a Nest Thermostat successfully in a home I bought over the holidays. Got and paid my first electric bill (all electric home), and applied to participate in Duke's energy program. I keep getting email messages there was an issue and I should reapply. Have done that three times. I notice when I reapply, Google sends me off to a Nest website (which I have never used). I do use Google Home on my phone, but never tried the Nest app or site. In any case, this time I thought I should add my thermostat on Nest, found my Home listed, but no entry available for Nest Thermostat...just the two older Nest Thermostats (E and learning). Anyone have a similar experience?

Hi cc99,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for the delay.

Double check the address associated with your Home structure with the Google Home app. Products must be installed at the premise address associated with your account number. Also, I suggest you contact your Energy company provider to check the eligibility of your Nest Thermostat.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Jenelyn

I contacted my electric company (Duke) and they had me re-apply, then followed the application. Took about a week, but I did receive the approved email! Thanks for your assistance.
