Hi folks. Had to log a call with Google today to stop the nest changing my temperatures without my permission. All the usual stuff turned off in the app / webpage. During the call it appeared that Google had enrolled me in "Nest Renew" at some point - never requested it and the technician said "you probably just clicked continue". I doubt it as I'm fairly careful but nevertheless there is a 3rd Party that Google has outsourced to monitor your energy usage and adjust your thermostat. I have solar so I'm very happy to use AC during peak time but I just couldn't understand why it was being turned off / down all the time.

Hope it helps.

Hi. My issue is closed per my note above. I just wanted to point people in the right direction as there was literally no way I could have known why an external agent - google or otherwise - had control over my Thermostats. In the hope of helping anyone else, once again, Google had enrolled me into a program called Nest Renew with a 3rd Party which I didn't explicitly request. This let to my Thermostats regularly displaying "shifting target temp 1º until x" which was unwanted or needed as I have solar.
