I have two units and both are tied to my app.
One of the two is showing "offline". All the info I have found on line is talking about if all units are off line.
What is the best way to get the one unit back on line?

I am having the exact same issue - the nest unit itself says that it is connected, its just the app that is saying it is offline

That is exactly the same here

I have 2 nests in 2 different states and both are offline. I dont think this is a coinidence. Must be an issue with google nest servers

Same here. We have 3 Nest thermostats and 2 nest doorbells. One thermostat says offline in the app, but checking on the thermostat itself, it shows connected to WiFi and connected to Nest servers. One doorbell is showing as offline in the app but the other doorbell is fine. I suspect a partial nest server outage.

Nope. My Google Home still can’t access my Nest Gen 4.

We're aware of an issue with accessing some devices in the Google Home app, and we'll share an update as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience.
