Enable Eco temperatures during times of peak electrical demand

I haven't seen an automatic setting to enable the thermostat to enable the Eco temperatures during times of peak electrical demand. I have enabled the Energy Shift feature and during the times of peak electrical demand I would like the thermostat to automatically reset the temperature setting to the Eco setpoints. Is this possible?

For the time being i am programing my 3rd gen nest learning thermostat to 50 deg heat and 95 cooling for 15 minutes before peak hours to 15 minutes after. My mobile home in North Myrtle Beach is empty for 6 + monthes a year but heat and ac are still needed to prevent mold or freeze ups during the rare cold weather.

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting in the community forum. I understand that you'd like to change the temperature of your Nest thermostat during times of peak electrical demand. No worries, I'm here to help.

@Wingnut80, Rush Hour Rewards helps you earn rewards for saving energy during peak demand periods while you stay comfortable. The Nest thermostat automatically tunes temperatures before and during a Rush Hour to reduce energy use and lower grid costs.

You don’t have to worry about when the next Rush Hour is coming or remember to adjust the temperature, as the Rush Hour Rewards program does it automatically. To learn more, please check out the following articles: Energy Shift, Rush Hour Rewards.

@PatrickJ28, do you have the Home/Away feature enabled? Does the Rush Hour event work for you?

Please let me know if you have any questions from here, as I'd be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Cheers,
Jonathan
