I recently replaced my old furnace with a York variable two speed one. And I have an ecobee3 lite thermostat, but I can't have the fan run permanently. Ecobee specialist says there is no solution. I am planning to change the ecobee to a Google nest learning thermostat. But will it work well with a variable furnace? Will it run fan independently even when cold/hear is not called?

The Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd Gen, will work with Multi-speed blowers (Lo, Med, Hi) but not variable-speed blowers.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. As my furnace is variable it won't run the fan continuously with a nest learning T. I guess I should stick to the thermostat that comes with the furnace. Thank you again
