Hello all.
I've got my nest working, wired to the boiler I believe correctly. The boiler has had it's internal connections changed and displays "Opentherm: ON" in sensor readings. Yet I have no working heating.
My question is, does the order T1 and T2 are wired to the boiler matter? My boiler doesn't specify any polarity anywhere, just that the two terminals are for Opentherm.
If anyone has any experience of why my Ideal Logic+ is not listening to the Opentherm signals it would be greatly appreciated, it's pretty cold here now and I don't want to wire back in the old thermostat.
Cheers
Russ

I have an ideal logic c24 boiler and nest e thermostat. Didn't matter what way to wire the terminals, the nest detected it was connected to opentherm and then you set it that way and max flow temp etc..
In my case no setting on the boiler needed to be changed but there is cables to be connected at the back of the PCB.

Thank you Oisin! Yes you're right, there were two connectors on the back of the board I had to connect. Until then under sensors in the menu Opentherm was OFF. For future readers how to do this was in the manual.
I have it working now, my problem was I had removed another thermostat to fit the nest. I had to put a loop back into where room stat / timer was connected, as without that despite the Nest thinking it was working the boiler didn't do anything.
Thanks for your reply.

No, all good thanks. I'm now trying to work out if it's worth buying one for my brother. He has a Vokera Easi Heat Plus 25C. No opentherm, very simple. Not sure if he'd gain much.

Hiya Russ_T,
No problem at all! If you or your brother have any more questions regarding the Nest Thermostat, please feel free to create a new thread. For now, I'll go ahead and lock this one.
Have a good one!
Best regards,
Jeran
