Does the Nest Gen 4 Learning now provide manual override of the programmed schedule?

Hi seancpark,
Thank you for posting here in the community. I understand that you want to check if the Nest Learning Thermostat 4th Generation will allow you to override the schedules manually. No need to worry, help is here.
The Nest Learning Thermostat Gen 4 provides manual override of the programmed schedule.
This means you can temporarily adjust the temperature without affecting your scheduled settings. To manually override the temperature:
Note: The manual override will typically revert back to the scheduled temperature after a certain period of time, unless you disable the schedule or make permanent changes.
In case it helps, you can also review these articles to know How manually changing the Nest thermostat schedule affects Auto-Schedule, to Change the temperature on a Nest thermostat or to Disable learning for the temperature schedule.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thanks for the response, however, what you have stated sounds like it still reacts just like Gen 3, that is if you change the temperature, as soon as there is a setting reached at a specific time the programmed schedule will take over and there is no option to completely override the schedule for a period of time dictated by user. For example, let's say that the schedule is set to lower the cooling temperature every night at 9:00 down to 68 degrees for sleeping, yet one night a party is taking place from 6:00 pm until midnight with a desired temp of 75 degrees. Set the temp to 75 via ring or app at 5:30 to get things ready, once it's 9:00, the schedule takes control at drops the temp to 68. So, is there still no way to do a manual schedule override from 5:30 - 12:00 a.m. that completely prohibits the set schedule from taking over?

...very disappointing. A good friend and I addressed this missing feature on Gen 3 with google/nest support a few years ago and nothing positive ever came out of the conversation/recommendation. It's quite perplexing why this feature doesn't exist on the top-notch premier model but does when you downgrade...
