Hi @mrb710,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen, specifically the fan running constantly and inconsistent water pressure. I'm glad to help you.

To determine the most effective troubleshooting, I need a little more information. Could you please answer the following questions?

  • Are there any error codes displayed on the thermostat screen or in the app?
  • Have there been any recent modifications to the HVAC system?
  • Have you experienced any recent power outages or power issues?
  • Can you please send a picture of the Nest Thermostat's current wiring?

If you have any additional details that might be helpful, feel free to share them with me.

Regards,

Gabriela

Thanks for the reply!  No error codes, modifications or power issues.  I have images of the previous Nest wiring and the current wiring but this forum doesn't seem to allow me to upload them.  My previous Nest used Y1, G, OB, W1, W2, C and Rh and I wired my Nest 4th Gen the same way.

Hi @mrb710,

Thank you so much for the update and for providing such detailed information about your Nest Thermostats. I appreciate you taking the time to explain the situation, and I'm happy to keep working with you to find a solution.

Please follow these steps to attempt a resolution:

  • Turn off the AC power to your thermostat and HVAC system.
  • Carefully disconnect and then firmly reconnect all the wires at the thermostat's base.
  • Perform a Factory Reset on your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen).
  • In the Google Home app, remove the Nest Thermostat.
  • Finally, set the thermostat up again in the Google Home app.

Please let me know how it goes once you've completed these steps.

Regards,

Gabriela

I tried all of those steps in order and had no difference in the previous issues. I reinstalled my old Nest and everything is working fine. Weird right?
