I upgraded most of my Nest stats to 4th generation and migrated everything, including some 2nd and 3rd generation stats to the Google home app. In attempting to add members to the home, the app keeps returning the message “can’t send an invite now”. How do I get past this?

If you are trying to send an invitation to someone who does NOT have a personal Google (gmail) email account, Google Nest returns this error instead of one explaining the true issue (needing a gmail account).

Thank you. Frustrating but I finally figured it out. As with past experience with Nest products, they have abandoned legacy buyers.
