Looking for help with my Nest thermostat (I believe it is the ‘Learning’ model, but not 100% sure). Just today, after being in our house for 3 years, I have encountered the issue of error code E103. The thermostat will attempt to operate on Cool, but the compressor will alternate between runnning and shutting off every few seconds. The diagram shows that I have connections to Y1 (COOL/the reported problem), G (FAN), Rc (POWER), W1 (HEAT), and C (24V COMMON). Any advice or solutions on how to quickly/easily fix this issue are greatly appreciated.

Hi derekc88,
Thanks for reaching out in the Google Nest Community forum. I'm sorry for the delay. The code E103 is about overcurrent issues. Over time, system components wear down, and with age can come fluctuations in voltage and tolerance.
A few questions: do you know if there's any recent power outages, power surges, or work on your electrical system? Is there anything else hooked up to the G or C terminals (like an air cleaner, dehumidifiers, sprinkler systems, or multiple systems)?
Let's try the steps in this guide:
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Jenelyn
