Google Nest power connector causes heater unit rumbling noise

Dave37

I installed a Google Nest Smart Thermostat for Home - Programmable Wifi Thermostat.

It showed a power error so I installed the nest power connector. No more power error on the Nest.

But now my heating unit is louder and rumbles when it runs.

How do I fix that?

Hi @Dave37

I appreciate you taking the time to post in the community. I'm sorry that your HVAC system is making a rumble noise when you turn it on. Let me help you to solve your issue.

  • Could you please provide me with pictures of the wiring of the Nest Power Connector you installed?

In the meantime, you can take a look at the following article: Troubleshoot strange heating or cooling behavior.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

I checked that the wires are properly connected.

I have before and after pictures. How would I provide pictures to you?
