Google Nest shut down and start every 1 min on Heating mode.

My Nest 4th Generation with cables W,Y,G,R,C. At the begining was working fine but in the last 3 weeks (5 weeks installed) started to work wierd. Once the turn it on for Heating, the thermostast stops and inmediatly starts again every 1 minute.

I´ve turn off all "intelligence" but still stopping and starting every 1 minute, could someone help me?

Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear your Nest Thermostat (4th gen) has been acting up with your heating system. I can definitely imagine how annoying it must be to have your thermostat constantly cycling like that. Good news, help is here!

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • Are there any error messages? If so, what are they exactly?
  • When was the last maintenance check for your HVAC system?
  • Have there been any recent changes or upgrades to your HVAC system?
  • Could you please check the power readouts on your Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen and post only the power information? Follow these instructions:
    • Press the thermostat's ring to bring up the Quick View menu.
    • Turn the ring to “Settings” and press to select.
    • Turn the ring to “Technical info” and press to select. Then select “power.”
    • Post this information: battery, Voc, and Vin. 
  • Have you experienced any power outages within the last few weeks?
  • When the Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen cycles on and off, does it completely lose power (screen goes black), or does it just seem to stop calling for heat and then immediately start again?

Follows the answers

  • Are there any error messages? No in the screen or App
  • When was the last maintenance check for your HVAC system? One week before replacing the Old Thermostate with the Nest 4th Gen
  • Have there been any recent changes or upgrades to your HVAC system? No, the team cleaned up the filter and replaced the capacitors for the Fans.
  • Could you please check the power readouts on your Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen and post only the power information? Follow these instructions:
    • Press the thermostat's ring to bring up the Quick View menu.
    • Turn the ring to “Settings” and press to select.
    • Turn the ring to “Technical info” and press to select. Then select “power.” It´s not in here. I found it under "Equipment", "Power Info"
    • Post this information: battery, Voc, and Vin. Status: GOOD, Vin: 30.772V, Iin: 300, PS: C-300, Battery Voltage: 3.917V
  • Have you experienced any power outages within the last few weeks? No
  • When the Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen cycles on and off, does it completely lose power (screen goes black), or does it just seem to stop calling for heat and then immediately start again? It just seems to stop calling for heat and then immediately starts again. Stops / starts every 1 min. If I track with Google Home, it changes from "Orange" to "Dark Grey" and then again to "Orange".
