Having the fan run after unit cycles to use potential energy in coils.

Can Nest programmers please add the ability for owners to let the fan continue to run for a short time after compressor turns off on heat pumps and stand alone AC units?  There is energy still sitting in the coils of the blower unit when it turns off at the set temperature on the Nest thermostat.  The cool or warm air we desire is being created by air being pulled or pushed through the coils in the blower unit.  The coils get really cold and almost hot when this is happening with heat pumps and just AC units.  If the blower (fan) shuts off exactly when the compressor turns off, all that cold and hot energy just sits there and is wasted.  If the fan is allowed to run for a few minutes (adjustable) longer, that energy can be released into you home instead of just sitting there.  (Potential energy vs Kinetic energy)   The fan can also dry the moisture on the coils in the summer and help keep corrosion down.  Most programmable thermostats in the Nest price range offer this feature.  Why not Nest?  The thermostat I replaced (12+ years old Honeywell) did that and it was easy to program.  C'mon Google, this is right in your strike zone.  I recieved my three Nest when had solar panels installed.  Probably wouldn't have used the Neat if i knew they were so limited.  This is why you have programmars on your payroll.  There is probably more than enough memory left on the Nest to add it.  I look forward to seeing it on a future update!

Go to settings and turn on the Airwave feature.  It does exactly what you described with shutting the compressor off but continuing to blow the fan for a bit.
