Heat not turning on consistently

The thermostat is calling for heat but the system doesn’t turn on. The display says it will reach the proper heat setting in 2+ hours. The display is orange. 
Then the system may turn on randomly while calling for heat. 
Gas forced air furnace and the nest is set fir that equipment. 
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

I’m having the same issue. Installed it last week. This happened the first day and I reset everything. It worked for a few days and is now not heating again. I’m so over it and going to return it.

Is this a new install or one that was working but isn't now?

How is the thermostat wired? Post a picture of the baseplate wiring.

We are just leasing the unit for awhile so not sure how long the issue has been there.

I do not have permission to upload the photo.  The following are wires to baseplate:

yellow to Y1

green to G

white to W1

blue to C

red to Rh

Just a little more information.  The heat will come on (at least yesterday) around 12:30 pm and continue until it reaches its set temperature. No heat this morning. 
I did notice that the light bars on the thermostat between the room temperature and the thermostat temperature cycle to the right rhythmically when the thermostat is calling for heat but not turning the heat on.
