On occasion, my Nest thermostat won't turn off when the temperature is reached unless I go into the app and adjust the setting. Fir example, last night the thermostat was set to 69 degrees. Upon waking up due to a hot room I checked the app and the setting was still 69, but the heat was actively on and it was 72 degrees. I had to adjust the setting down to 68 before the heat cut off.
My thermostat had been in place for 5 years and is wired correctly. This is the 4th time this has happened this winter. What could be the issue?
