Heating keeps turning on in the middle of the night

I moved into a new flat in summer. It has a Nest Thermostat. I installed one in my last flat so I am very familiar with the product. However the one in my new flat is not working properly!

I've only switched it on since the weather started to get cold. It's switched to auto schedule. But the heating keeps switching to 22⁰ at midnight and at some point in the night I wake up sweating and thirsty. I don't have it set to 22 ever, let alone in the middle of the night! Why does it keep doing this? And why isn't it learning from all the times I have to get up in the night and turn it down? I tried to get around it by setting the schedule myself to 17 when I go to bed and 19 when I get up, but it still seems to think I want to sleep in a furnace and keeps turning it up at midnight.
