Heating schedule problem.

Mleety

I am literally thinking I made a bad decision, being talked into getting an intelligent thermostat.

I think mine is in cahoots with my energy supplier.

Auto schedule is switched off.

I have a schedule for the heating on the  app. But this is ignored and the heating comes on whenever it likes.

The hot water schedule works fine,or maybe it doesn't as it is roughly the same as the heating schedule.

No matter what I do the heading comes on through the night.

Although "heat" is switched off.

The only thing that I know will do that is your Safety Temperatures setting.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have watched some videos today and got a better understanding of how the schedule works.

I need to have a low temperature when I don't want it on when I go to bed. Then continue that low temperature until I want to get up. I think ? Then raise the temperature for when I get up.

@Mleety, yikes! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing heating schedule problems with your Nest Thermostat. Let's see what's causing this. Are you located in North America or Europe? What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, you may refer here to troubleshoot strange heating or cooling behavior for some steps you can follow.

It's all sorted now. I was treating it like an on off thermostat.

I did not realise you had to drop the temperature at the start and end of each setting
