Hi all,
I am looking to replace my old Honeywell thermostat with a Nest thermostat. I have a gas fired boiler which only provides heat in my house. I do not have any cooling system controlled by the thermostat. Seems the thermostat is using 4 wires with 2 wires each going to the W terminal and 2 wires going to the R terminals.
Any insight in to how I would connect these wires to the Nest thermostat?
Thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike413,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
Wire-twisting or two wires in the same terminal for the Nest thermostats is not suggested as it might damage its internal breaker. But to determine your system configuration, could you please also share with us a photo of your boiler's control board? This is where the wires from your thermostat are connected, so we can see how it was labeled.
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark
