Hot water will only turn on with heat link, thermostat not working

My hot water will only turn on if I press the button on the heat link. I have tried a resetting the thermostat twice but that doesn't work. The heat link connects into a protterton switch thing with Hot Water and Central heating on, If I try and turn the hotwater on through that switch then it doesn't work, only comes on with pressing the heat link.

Do you have a motorised valve, if so check that is fully working.

To gather the necessary information, please answer the following questions:

• What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
• When did the issue start?
• Does the thermostat call for heat?
• Does the display show a water droplet inside of a circle?
• Are you able to see the hot water option on the Nest Thermostat display?
