How can I order a Nest Heat Link Replacement in Ireland?

Hi

My heat link has died and I'd like to purchase a replacement. I've had the unit for 4 years. How can I get one in Ireland/EU?

Thanks,

Lucas

Adding additional context to this.
The Nest Link no longer shows any LED lights on, even when pressing the On/Off button. I've already tried to power cycle the unit, with no success.
I checked the installation using another Heat Link unit and it worked successfully, isolating the issue to the faulty Heat Link unit.

Hi lukinhakbsa,

Thanks for posting. I understand that your Nest Heat Link is not showing any light. But don't worry; I can help. Could you please share detailed information about the steps that you tried to make the Heat Link work again?

Please keep me posted.

Hi.

i also have a completely dead headlink. I’ve tried to reset it - held the button down for 20 seconds. And no lights still. I’ve also reset the fuse in the fused spur power socket. Can you tell me where I can get a replacement in the uk please

Hi justfen,

Thanks for posting in the Community! Sorry to hear that your Heat Link isn’t flashing any light. Thanks for the troubleshooting you already tried; I really appreciate it. No worries, help is here! Please provide me with the following information to get the right troubleshooting:

  1. What Nest Thermostat model do you have?
  2. Have you experienced any electrical or plumbing work?
  3. Have you tried to turn on the Manual Mode to verify the boiler activation?

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Axel.

Hi @Robmcmahon,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I am sorry that your Heat Link is having power issues, preventing it from controlling your heating system with your Nest Thermostat. I'd be happy to help you. Let’s check it out.

Before we go further with deep-dive troubleshooting or replacements, let me ask you some important questions:

  1. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  2. When was it installed?
  3. Are you seeing any wiring report or error on the thermostat or app?
  4. Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?
  5. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before contacting us?

Here are some basic steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue in the meantime:

  1. Check that the breaker switches are set to on: Circuit breakers could be off due to work being done on the thermostat or other electrical appliances. You will either have a fuse board or circuit breaker. In some cases the boiler will have an additional isolation switch. Make sure the breakers are on or the fuse board hasn't tripped. This essentially means that the power is on.
  2. Turn the fuse board switches (circuit breakers) off and on: If you have a heating isolation switch or fuse board switch, turn it off and on. Note: Heating isolation switches can sometimes have a light on them to indicate if they are providing power or not.
  3. Turn on Manual Mode to verify boiler activation: To verify if Heat Link is working correctly, manually turn on the heating system.

You can check the following article to verify Manually control heating when Heat Link is disconnected.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Mario

Hi,

im not sure when it was installed but would be at least 3/4 years ago, I’ve gone through all the steps you mentioned (or the ones I could),

I think it’s a gen two.

the thermostat can’t link or find the heat link, the heat link has no light and holding or pressing the button does nothing.

i have a second nest for another zone and that heat link is still working and connected so the power is to the both of them and the boiler is working.

is my only option to buy a new full nest to get another heat link, I can’t see them separately anywhere.

Thanks

I also just had a heat link die on me! I have two, one is working ok but the other one has no power! I know a recall has happened before but I’d even just like to get another one to allow me to turn my heating on. Finding it hard to find where to get one!?

Same issue, heat link is not working and have tried trouble shooting but it is not activating the switch to the boiler. Can a replacement heat link be purchased?

I bought a new nest just to get the heat link. Seems stupid for something that seems to go a lot and can be linked to any thermostat so I didn’t even use the new one.
