How can I tell if the Power Connector is working with a Google Nest thermostat 3rd generation?

How can I tell if the Power Connector is working with a Google Nest thermostat 3rd generation?  There doesn’t appear to be any indicator on the base unit equipment or power screens after having them professionally installed on two VCAC heating and cooling systems.  This is not an inexpensive option.
I had the Nest Power Connectors installed professionally but can’t tell if they are being recognized.  Thermostats were originally installed without C wires and one failed after six months and was replaced on warranty.  Obviously, a C wire or power connector is required if you want your thermostat unit to last.   This is misleading in Google’s advertising.

@Emily58

There are a couple of ways you can tell if it is working correctly.

Here is the easiest, I think.

Technical Info Power Readings:
  • Voc, Vin, and Iin:
    You can also check the technical info under Settings > Technical Info > Power for voltage (Voc and Vin) and current (Iin) readings.
  • Expected Readings:
    The expected Voc and Vin readings should be between 28.28-42.42 V, and Iin should be either 100 or 200 mA if you have a common wire connected.

Patrick, thank you for your reply.  Even though I have the Google Nest power connectors installed on two HVAC systems, a “C” wire is not indicated on my equipment.  So, does the C wire only show on the equipment screen if you have an actual C wire connected and not the power connectors?  Also, my Lin still shows 40 even after the powers connectors  were installed.  Maybe you need an actual C wire installed to see the 100 or 200 Lin readings.  Any thoughts on this?
