How do I disable the Nest Renew nag screen?

There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the Nest Renew nag screen. Many times when I open the Nest app it's asking me to join Nest Renew. Google earns money for every thermostat participating in Nest Renew and Rush Hour Rewards, but they do not give me anything in return, so I do not want to participate.

I have checked the notification settings in the app and there is no control for turning off notifications/messages about Seasonal Savings/Rush Hour Rewards/Nest Renew. Is there any other way to turn it off or is it just forced advertising to use the app?

Please do not respond with any suggestions unless they are specific - another poster has asked this question a few times and the response talks about checking the notification settings, but there are no notification settings for these pop-ups in the Nest app (@mike73).

@Bowgy4 , Often we see this message with thermostats attained through your power company. Where did you get your Nest thermostat?

From Home Depot. For clarity, the nag screen is in the Nest app. It pops up when you open the Nest app sometimes, completely covering the screen, and asks you to opt in. I have a municipal utility and am not enrolled nor have the option to enroll in any utility-sponsored program.

I get the same nag messages, and I think a lot of people do. Got my Nest from Amazon. I don't think where you buy the Nest has any effect here. If you don't turn on Renew, then every few months you get a nag message. Super irritating.
