How do I factory reset my nest?

I've recently moved into a house, and the previous owner of the Nest Thermostat left a pin on it, and I need to factory reset it to remove that pin so we can set the numbers to something reasonable (he has randomly changed it to 64 degrees for cool, and sometimes setting it to 89 but still on cool). I know Google is useless, so can any of the members of this community walk me through what I actually need to do to factory reset it when I can't access the settings?
