How to change mirror finish

I really like everything about the Nest and intend to buy one for every zone in my house (likely 12 zones). But the mirror finish is so ugly and is nothing like what is pictured on the box. What can I do to change the mirror finish? Can it be replaced? Painted? It’s hideous.
