How to select which sensor to use on a thermostat via the API

The nest android app has the ability to switch the active sensor on a Nest Learning Thermostat -- but it appears that it is using an undocumented API to do this.

If I am mistaken, then please point me at this documentation.

If I am not mistaken, then please document this API.

Note that no product change is required here -- only a documentation change -- and that should be much easier to do.

Thanks

Philip

Hi pjsg,

Thanks for reaching out — I'm sorry for the delay.

I just want to follow up if you're still encountering the issue. Please let me know as I'll be willing to assist you from here.

When I looked at the API, this was not possible to do. Have you updated the API in the last month to add support for being able to choose the remote temperature sensor? Or, have you documented how to select the remote temperature sensor for a thermostat? [The NEST app can do it, so we know that there *is* an API. We just don't know what it is or how to invoke it].
