Hello.
I’ve been called several times about nest thermostats having bussing noise around it. They called mechanical guys. I’m one of those guys who digs and digs until I find Issue. After trouble shooting I narrowed it down to something I didn’t catch from previous homes. The base plate for the thermostat body is the culprit When you disconnect Power to the base, the noise stops What is in the base that would make buzzing sound when you plug in the thermostat body it gets louder. I have not opened up a base to look inside. I’m guessing the houses a power supply and maybe antenna
Do you have a solution for my customers buzzing thermostats?

I assume you a mean a feint buzzing or a clicking noise?
I have mentoned this many times on here, it's not the base that makes the buzzing/clicking! The display is the where the noise comes from, and when removed from the base and a usb is inserted into the display, no buzzing/clicking. I assume that's the noise you are talking about, correct?
