Hysteresis not adjustable?

When will the heating band (width),  hysteresis, between on & off levels be made adjustable??  For example, a 0.5 deg F swing, or  2.0 deg F swing to cycle heating, as determined by user.

When will the temperature setting adjustment show fractions of a degree?  (such as setting to 71.5 degF)

How can you set the display to show 1/2 deg temperature readings (such as 75.5 deg F?)

Why have these issues not already been taken care of??

Hi blabblab,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community forum. Our target temperature settings. Normally, it should activate within 2 to 3 degrees higher or 2 to 3 degrees lower than the target temperature, depending on the algorithm of your home or the previous settings that the Nest Thermostat learns from your day-to-day target temperature. This delay is commonly called the maintenance band, deadband, differential, or temperature swing. The delay is usually just a few minutes, but it's there to help your system. Preventing the system from frequently turning on and off.

There are also a couple of other settings you can choose from. Like Early-On or Heat Pump Balance

Currently, the Nest Thermostat target temperature is 1 degree. Tap + or - to increase or decrease the temperature by 1° at a time. But if you still wish for more customization, we appreciate people who want to share their thoughts with us. We're always looking for ways to improve, and you can share feedback about Google Nest as detailed.

Let me know if you have other questions or concerns.

Cheers,

Renz
