I cannot get my Nest Thermostat to connect so I can finish setting it up.

I’m very frustrated at this point. My AC guy couldn’t even get it to work. About to send it back!! Please help. Is there an 800 number to call?? 

I have reset the Thermostat by removing the batteries bc I can’t figure out how to reset it any other way. 

I have Reset my modem 

I have tried to reinstall this device  on Google Home 1000 and I can’t make it past the can’t connect portion to even get in the app 

 

please help!!

I don’t have an answer but have been trying for over 2 hours to do the same. Digging my old thermostat out of the garbage as we speak so I cannot at least get heat back.

I had to walk away before throwing the nest out the window. When I came back to the project I turned off the power in the whole house, made 150% certain all of the wires were meticulously attached, and turned the power back on (*I will admit that initially I had turned off a couple breakers that I thought were the thermostat- I wasn't worried about getting shocked though so to me it wasn't a critical step...). I was able to successfully connect to the nest. In my mind? It's the age old "did you turn it off and turn it back on?" thing. I had adjusted the wires 5 other times before so I really don't think that was it. But turning the power off, leaving it off for a minute and turning it back on "fixed" my issues when I was getting the message that "some wires are not detected", which were all of the wires. It was smooth sailing setting things up from there. Hope you're able to get it working.
