Thank you for posting in the community! I understand that your Nest thermostat setup stopped with the 'contact us' message. I’ll be glad to work with you toward the issue solution.

Initially, I need a bit more information about your current setup:

Regarding your thermostat, let us figure this out by getting a look at the wires.

  • Did you take a picture of your old thermostat's wiring before you disconnected it? If so, please share that picture.  (This is a helpful piece of information.)
  • What are the labels of the wires you currently have connected to the new Nest base (e.g., R, W, Y, G, C, O/B, etc.)? Please list all of them.
  • Are any of the wires that were in your old thermostat NOT connected to the new Nest base?

Related to your HVAC system type:

  • What type of system do you have? (e.g., Furnace and A/C, Heat Pump, Boiler, Dual Fuel (heat pump + furnace), Zoned System).
  • Is the wiring in the wall considered high voltage (thicker wires, possibly labeled 120V or 240V, or held with wire nuts)?
