The “ energy saving” features on nest are absolute **bleep**. It is unbelievable to me that they don’t have a manual mode with schedules so the user can override the system they purchased. I work from home, I don’t need the system to make decisions like let’s not heat the house for 6 **bleep**ing hours. The assumptions made by the designers are very misaligned with real world experience, probably should double check their CV and make sure that they have more than two brain cells to rub together or ask their institutions of learning for a refund. Add one more to the trash heap of technology as this product is not worth enough to even recycle. I have ordered a replacement.

Not every product is right for everyone of course... but I will say I have been using my Nest Thermostat for 9 years now, and its been a dream, but then again I dont mind that it learns and adapts to our wants.  The Energy saving features may not work for everyone, and you can disable them should you want to (I dont enable them myself).
