Intermittent problem: Thermostat is set to a temperature and the display is orange but furnace does not turn on. Most other times it fine. If I turn the dial down on temp and back up to desired setting it usually kicks back on. I tried resetting thermostat and turning off and on my IPhone in case it is an APP problem. All software is up to date and been working fine for many years

Having a similar problem after the installation of a new furnace.

I found it was a furnace problem, I needed to clean my flame sensor. If you just installed a new furnace it may be wise to have a HVAC service call

Thanks. HVAC guy says it's not the furnace, but we never had this problem before (with our 40-year-old furnace!) Not sure how to proceed. . .

Hi folks,
I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
@Marco62, thanks for posting and letting us know how you were able to figure out that it was your furnace that had the problem. If there’s anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
@dw7, I'm sorry to hear you're also having the same issue. A few questions to isolate: what was your HVAC technician's diagnosis? Also, would you specify the steps you have taken so we can isolate it?
I'll look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Mark

No diagnosis; couldn't replicate the problem while he was there, and it hasn't happened since. . .

Hi dw7,
I understand. At this moment, we couldn't tell specifically what caused the issue. However, the configuration of your thermostat was most likely triggered by a newly installed system. I did find a helpful article that might help.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.
Best regards,
Mark
