Is my wiring compatible with Nest 4th Gen Thermostat

Here is a picture of my present thermostat wiring. It is a Honeywell.

Yes, it is.

Give this wiring a try

White - W to W1

Orange - Y to Y1

Blue - G to G

Red - R to Rc (jumper not needed)

I would suggest adding a C wire if there is a spare wire not being used, or just use the Nest Power Connector.

Patrick. I initially followed the Nest Gen 4 video advice and connected the red to the Rh terminal. Only when I switched it to the Rc as you suggested did it work.
