Is the Nest thermostat compatible with my current system?

I think it should be.
Looks like a simple system.

G - Fan control
C - Common wire
R - Power
W - Heat
Y - Cooling

When installing, follow the installation guide and should be fine.

Thanks for the response.

I also thought it looked straight forward but the Google Nest site only shows "G,G1" as an option (see image below) when choosing the wiring so I wasn't sure if that applies for my system only having "G" as a wire.

Hello MaxB,

Thanks for posting here in the Community. Based on the photos of the wires from your current thermostat, this is a single heating and cooling system. This should be compatible with any type of Nest Thermostat. Check out this link for Nest thermostat compatibility.

The correct wiring configuration for that in the Nest thermostat is:

1. Yellow wire on Y or Y1
2. Red wire on R or RH/RC
3. Green wire on G
4. White wire on W1

Thanks for the help, @RKeen.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks,
Edmond
