Learning Thermostat help

Hi, I've recently moved into a rented property that has a nest thermostat, ive reset all the settings so the previous owners settings aren't on there anymore, but my history readings are all very high, they range from running from 14hrs a day through to 22 hours a day! Does anyone know why this is and how I can lower it?
